Canterbury
Situated in one of the most beautiful and historic cities in England, Canterbury is any students dream city! Living here at the heart of history and charm, cobble streets filled with little stores, fresh food markets, and what will soon become your go-to study coffee shop spots and your local pub to meet your friends, and all of this surrounds the beautiful Canterbury Cathedral. Living here has been one of the greatest highlights of being at Kent so far. Also only a 30-minute bus ride away from some of the loveliest coastal towns such as Whitstable; Canterbury is surrounded by Blean woodlands, and if you hire a bike from the on-campus gym and bike-hub, you can cycle there for the day for some fish and chips on the beach.

Some of us got together and we attended the Youth Climate Change March!
The University of Kent is not only a centre of enrichment for your studies, but also a hub of activity to add to your university experience! There are over a hundred societies to get involved with, almost every sport you can think of and countless opportunities to get involved with campaigns to create change and improve the future.
Once you get involved in different aspects of University, a whole new world of possibilities open up; getting involved with your school, societies and activities makes University what it is. I would never have considered putting myself out there before I came to University, but once I was here the support and encouragement I received from my Lecturers and friends, provided me with the confidence to try new things; I ran for President of the Anthropology Society and the year that I’ve been with the society we have achieved so much, including a trip abroad! The role has opened so many doors for me and provided me with valuable skills I can use in any future career.
